Roy & Associates, PC

Firm History

In 2001, Vance Roy created Roy and Associates, PC as a professional corporation providing public accounting and consulting services in western Pennsylvania. Although a new firm in 2001, the practice continued services to many of the clients of the former firm of Conti, Stewart, Roy and Associates, PC which traced its own roots back to the 1942 western Pennsylvania public accounting practice of George A. Conti, CPA and its predecessor firm Frank Smith, CPA, established in Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1940.

In 2007, Roy and Associates, PC expanded its resources by consolidating its practice with Matchett, Frusco & Associates, P.C. a western Pennsylvania public accounting firm that traced its own roots back to 1938, when it was founded as Rigby & Heasley to provide accounting and tax services in Jeannette, Pennsylvania.

Shortly thereafter Roy & Associates hired Steven Remaley from the private sector. His role with the firm has grown from tax preparer to encompass compilation, review and audit services as well as administrative duties. He is now one of the directors of the firm as well as its President and COO, responsible for its daily operations.

Cynthia Tatusko-Boniecki also joined the firm as an officer and manager the same year, bringing with her 17 years of public accounting experience performing audits and reviews and providing tax services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations. She is today one of the directors jointly responsible for firm administration as well as planning and execution of client services, serving specifically as Vice President and CTO.
